Willa Holland Takes On Superhero Role On New TV Show Arrow
Actress Willa Holland is set to become TV’s new star, as she takes on the role of Thea Queen in the new superhero series, Arrow.
For those who think Willa, looks familiar, the 21 year-old actress has made minor appearances in popular teenage TV shows The O.C and Gossip Girl, before turning her attentions to modeling.
Ahead of the new show, rising star Willa appeared in a feature spread for glossy magazine Jezebel, where she discussed her role in Arrow, a new superhero TV series, based on the DC Comics book Green Arrow.
Willa explained what made her drawn to the role, stating: “The fact it was based on a DC Comics book, and the fact that I would get to play a superhero. I don’t want to spoil anything… but every episode gets more and more awesome.”
Arrow centres on billionaire playboy Oliver Green, who will be played by Stephen Ameli. Oliver makes a return to his home after being marooned on a remote island for five years.
As Oliver uses his new survival skills to tackle a war against the corrupt rich and powerful people in his home city, he seeks the support of his younger sister Thea played by Willa.
Arrow premiered on The CW Television Network on October 10th, receiving a positive reaction from most comic book fans. New episodes air on Wednesdays, at 8.00pm, with the show expected to be confirmed for a second season next year.
