Will.i.am – the target of thieves?
Superstar rapper Will.i.am has been forced to postpone the release of his new album after a considerable amount of music stolen from his car was leaked online.
The Black Eyed Peas front man, who recently made his debut as a television judge on The Voice, was left fuming last month when thieves drove off with his hugely expensive sports car, which contained several rough demos full of album material.
Thankfully, the vehicle was eventually returned to him, but the music files he had stored in the car were missing. But unluckily, they have since emerged on the internet in mp3 form!
- So the hip-hop star has decided to postpone the October drop date of upcoming album #willpower so he can write new tracks for fans. Aww, thanks Will….i…am (he doesn’t make abbreviations easy!)
Will went straight to his Twitter.com page on Tuesday to announce the news to followers and
to vent his annoyance.
In his posts, he writes, “I’m trying to finish #willpower… & now because of all the leaks I have pushed the album back to make new songs… When songs are incomplete and your valuables were stolen and people leak your unfinished material… I have a right to vent. My car was stolen & my bag with my hard drive & music was in it… my car was found, but my bag wasn’t & now they’re leaking songs.”
Well, if anything, it means we get new music from our favourite BEP’er!
