Usher Postpones Upcoming European Tour Due To Family Issues
Usher has postponed his hotly anticipated European leg of his Euphoria tour due to personal issues.
The singer announced today that the tour which was due to commence in January will now be pushed back several months due to both personal and work commitments.
Usher directly addressed his fans to tell them he would be postponing his tour, saying: “The feeling of euphoria that I get when performing for you is indescribable. I love each and every one of you and thank you for being there every step of the way. I truly appreciate and am grateful for your support while I take this time to focus on my children and continue to evolve with my fans. Evolve or evaporate.”
In recent months 33 year-old Usher has gone through some tough personal ordeals, starting with the death of his stepson Kile aged just 11 in July. Kile was left in a critical condition after being involved in a jet-ski accident. After days of being in an unstable condition, the heartbreaking decision to turn his life-support machine off was made. Months prior to this Usher embarked on a bitter custody battle with his ex-wife Tameka over their two children, this court battle only just ended last month when Usher was declared to have sole custody of his two boys.
Meanwhile tour promoters Live Nation has issued the following statement earlier today to those who have purchased tickets: “The rescheduled ‘Euphoria’ tour dates will be announced next year. Fans who have purchased tickets to the previously scheduled dates should return their ticked for refund at point of purchase.” before adding that: “Tickets for the previously scheduled performances will not be valid at the rescheduled events.”
