The Wanted Start Feud With Fellow Boyband One Direction
British boyband The Wanted have reignited their feud with former X Factor UK band One Direction, after announcing the two bands are not the best of friends.
Since both boybands have achieved chart success in America this last year, speculation has been rife that the two bands are feuding, with members taking several swipes at each other in interviews.
Whilst it seemed things may have calmed down between the bands, The Wanted have once again fuelled rumors of an ongoing feud, with lead singer Max George recently revealing to Fabulous magazine: “We’re not the best of friends, so it’s not like we are going to go up and start hugging and kissing.”
Max did explain that whilst One Direction members have openly taken swipes at them in interviews that they don’t take any of what they say too seriously as the band are much younger than them.
Fellow The Wanted star Jay McGuiness, meanwhile seemed keen to play down the feud between them and One Direction, diverting attention by highlighting that the media previously pit them against successful boyband JLS when they first emerged on the scene, despite the fact there was absolutely no rivalry between the two bands.
