Skyfall Producer Rules Out 3D James Bond Movie
Barbara Broccoli, producer of the upcoming James Bond Skyfall movie, has revealed that the 007 franchise will not be shot in 3D any time soon, stating it isn’t ready.
Whilst expressing her excitement at the upcoming release of Skyfall in IMAX cinemas, Broccoli, put a halt to rumours that the next Bond movie will be shot in 3D, informing fans this will not be happening anytime soon.
When questioned about the possibility of a 3D Bond film, Broccoli told Screen Rant, that she feels horror and science fiction films are more suited to 3D, before adding: “We’re in IMAX, which we’re very excited about and I think that experience will be great. Not quite ready for 3D yet.”
Meanwhile James Bond director Sam Mendes has told Time Out magazine, that he would be happy to make another Bond film, if the fans of the franchise want him to. Despite admitting he is tired, after just completing his 23rd Bond movie, Mendes reiterated that if the fans enjoy Skyfall and want him back to make another film, he most likely will.
British actor Daniel Craig is set to make his return as James Bond, for the third time in Skyfall, which will be released in cinemas on October 26th. It is not yet know whether Craig will make another return as 007, or if the next film will see a new actor take on the prestigious role.
