There are four prominent seasons in the fashion year – fall, winter/cruise, spring and summer. No matter where you are on the map, each season is still given attention, whether you have all four seasons or just two weather wise. People just love shopping for the new fashion season. It’s a time to edit your wardrobe, try new trends and keep your look new and fresh. And, for each of these seasons looking new, not dated is crucial. For winter/cruise splurge on lots of great sweaters and black pants, a beautiful classic pea coat and the winter boot of the moment (Will Uggs make another round this season!) Get the cashmere look by going faux, which will help you stay in your budget. Lucky you, if you get to forego winter for a while and go on a cruise. For cruise wear, you’ll want to have a nice mix of casual clothing, swimwear and of course a few cocktail dresses for the formal evening. Try outlets for the formal wear or go for a basic black dress: a.k.a, the little black dress. You’ll look sophisticated and so will your wallet. Go a little drama with the makeup – liner on the eyes, lots of mascara and nude lips.

When springtime hits, the nice weather is finally here. It’s time to shed the dark clothing and go lighter. Invest in some pretty pastel colored clothing and accessories, including handbags and shoes, little sundresses and light makeup. Spring always embodies warmth, fun and excitement, so portray this attitude in your clothing. Choose light fabrics that are easy to care for and have fun in. Makeup should be soft and glowing. Look for light colors for eyes, such as beiges, light blues or greens. Try a light pink gloss for lips.

Summer is all about being sultry, sexy and showing skin is a must. Go basic splurging on lots of sandals and flip flops, little dresses, skirts and tiny tops and of course swimsuits. Be sure to find clothes that flatter your figure. Another great tip for summer dressing is to look for lots of chandelier earrings. They really are beautiful and have a true simplicity about them when worn solely with a sundress or jeans and a tank top. Keep the makeup light in summer weather, if you can go bare on the skin, great. If not do light concealer, waterproof mascara and a light lip-gloss.

Some extra touches you can do each season is change your hairstyle. This is an inexpensive way to instantly update your style and look like a new woman. Treat yourself to a manicure and with your new wardrobe, you’ll be feeling great about your new look.
