Rihanna’s Debut TV Show Axed Over Poor Ratings
Rihanna’s dreams of launching a successful television career have been squashed, after it has just been revealed the singers debut TV show Styled To Rock has been axed over both poor rating and sloppy production.
24 year-old Rihanna not only stared in the show, which saw wannabe fashion designers compete against each other, to create a festival outfit for her to wear, she also worked as executive producer on the show, which has been branded a flop.
Whilst Rihanna only actually appeared in three episodes out of the whole series, she did enlist the help of her A-list friends to try and boost ratings, however appearances from Kanye West, Cheryl Cole and Katy Perry, were still not enough to save the show.
As it is revealed that Sky Living have axed Styled To Rock, confirming it will not make a return for a second series, the show itself, which is fronted by fashion designer Henry Holland and Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has been sold to the US Style Network, this time without the inclusion of Rihanna.
It is thought that the singer has refused to return to the show on the new network, after realizing how low the viewing figures for Styled To Rock actually were.
Producers of the series are reported to have been keen to progress with the show without Rihanna due to her recent unpredictable behavior, which hindered filming for the first series.
