Record Label Consider Dropping The Wanted Due To Partying Ways
British boy band The Wanted have revealed in an exclusive interview with ITV1 breakfast TV show Daybreak, that they have previously been close to being dropped by their record label because of their wild partying ways.
The Wanted aren’t afraid to admit they are huge fans of the partying scene, but in the interview, the stars did reveal that record bosses have warned them to control their crazy antics.
Max, the lead singer of the band, hasn’t however seemed to have taken the label’s warnings too seriously, joking about how him and the rest of the boys were told off for staying out too late at the Pride of Britain Awards ceremony earlier this week, stating: “We were a little bit late going to bed. We got our wrists slapped the next day actually off our record label.” Fellow band member Jay, comically added: “Sorry, don’t drop us please.”
Meanwhile on a more serious note, Tom admitted that whilst the band do have a good time enjoying their sudden fame, they do realise that, like other young men they sometimes make bad choices along the way. Tom explained: “It’s going good. You have to embrace this kind of lifestyle that you’re living because if you don’t, then you wont have a good time. We just enjoy ourselves, that’s the thing, and sometimes we make the wrong decisions but we have a laugh.”
