Nicole Scherzinger Slams Former Pussycatdoll Band Members
Nicole Scherzinger has slammed her former Pussycatdoll band members, by revealing she sang 95 percent of the vocals the girl group ever recorded.
In an interview with VH1’s Behind The Music, the former Pussycatdoll front woman, admitted the other girl’s contributions to the bands records were minimal, adding that she recorded both lead and backing vocals.
“I love those girls, they’re like my sisters, but people don’t even know the story. I was in the centre because I was singing. I was the one singing.”
Meanwhile Nicole stated that the other Pussycatdolls: Melody, Ashley, Kimberly, Jessica and Carmit rarely contributed any vocals to their singles, and often did not even hear a track until she had completed recording it.
Afraid of revealing the truth at the time Nicole said: “I never really talked about it, but I’ll never forget I finished the album PCD and Ron Fair (producer) and I brought the girls into the studio and we played it for them, and it was the first time they’d ever heard the music.”
Whilst Melody occasionally contributed to small parts of a track, the remaining girls were simply present to dance and look good in videos and performances.
Nicole left the band, which made her famous in 2010 to focus on a solo music career. At the time, the band was rumored to be fighting with the girls growing jealous of Nicole’s leading role.
