Nicole Kidman Quits Erotic Nymphomaniac Movie
Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman is reported to have quit Lars Von Trier’s upcoming erotic movie Nymphomaniac, after being told she would need to film real sex scenes.
Nicole is thought to have pulled out of Nymphomaniac, shortly after the director revealed he would be using real sex scenes, as he plans to release both a hardcore and soft version of the film.
The controversial film, which is set to be ready for a release next year, is due to follow a self-confessed female sex addict’s sexual relationship with a man, who rescued her from being attacked.
Actress Charlotte Gainsbourg has been cast as Joe, the sex addict, whilst Transformers star Shia LeBeouf is set to take on the leading male role. It is unclear what character Nicole was due to play, although it is clear the role would have required her to have had actual sex on camera with a cast member.
Unlike Nicole, Shia has revealed he is happy to engage in real sex for the role, and even admitted to sending in a sex tape of himself and his girlfriend as part of his audition tape. Whilst Shia doesn’t mind stripping off for the camera, unsurprisingly his long-term girlfriend is said to be unhappy about the situation.
With Nicole pulling out of the film at late notice Lars will quickly need to cast a replacement for her, to join Shia and Charlotte, as well as other cast members Uma Thurman, Christian Slater and Stellan Skarsgard.
