Natalie Portman’s Christian Dior Advert Get’s Banned
It has just been reported that Christian Dior’s latest advertisement campaign’s starring Natalie Portman have been banned, after it emerged that the company were making false claims about their latest mascara.

The TV commercial Natalie filmed to promote the designer brand’s new mascara, has been pulled by the Advertising Standards Authority, after it was revealed the claims made about the Lash-multiplying effect volume and care mascara are not true.

An investigation was carried put after Dior’s rival cosmetics company L’Oreal issued a complaint about the misleading and exaggerated listed effects of the product used in the advertisement.

Dior has since defended their campaign, highlighting that they have not received any feedback from unsatisfied customers who have used the product. They did however admit, that the Oscar-winning actress’ lashes did have a slight boost from Photoshop software during the post-production work on the commercial.

The Advertising Standards Agency however, still stand by the belief that the advert is misleading, insisting that the actual mascara did no to much to alter the appearance of Natalie’s lashes, and therefore the advert would not be allowed to appear again in it’s current state.
