Miley Cyrus Tipped For New Bonnie And Clyde TV Show
Miley Cyrus is rumoured to be in talks about signing up to play the lead in an upcoming television remake of the 1967 hit movie Bonnie and Clyde.
The former Disney star is set to play outlaw Bonnie in the new TV remake, stepping into the footsteps of Faye Dunaway who famously played the character in the iconic film. The show will be a miniseries broadcast on Lifetime/History, and will be produced by Neil Meron, the man behind hit musical TV show Smash.
Lifetime/History are keen to sign up big names scheduled new shows, Miley is hot property right now and is said to be currently meeting directors about the possibility of playing Bonnie. The miniseries will hope to replicate the success of the high rated miniseries Hatfield & McCoys, which saw Kevin Costner, pick up an Emmy for his lead performance in the show. Later this Autumn Lindsay Lohan’s role as Elizabeth Taylor in Liz & Dick will also premiere on the channel.
Meanwhile 19 year-old Miley is due to make her debut in hit comedy show Two And A Half Men next month, where she will star alongside Ashton Kutcher for several episodes.
