Marc Jacobs’ Despair At Loosing Apartment To Hurricane Sandy
Top fashion designer Marc Jacobs is said to be distraught, after discovering the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy to his luxury New York apartment, as it’s revealed the entire apartment block was destroyed by flooded water.
Marc likely many New Yorkers, was forced to evacuate his home as the disaster hit, temporarily staying in a hotel on the Upper East Side, along with the likes of other fashion bigwigs including Anna Wintour and Carine Roitfeld, who were forced to leave their homes when the hurricane, caused a blackout.
According to the New York Post, the three fashion experts have took residence at The Mark Hotel, whose current guests also include actor Russell Crowe, model Helena Christensen, and actress Emma Stone.
Meanwhile, Marc has opened up about the damage hurricane Sandy caused to his home, in an exclusive video with TMZ. The designer explained, how his property was completely lost to floods, and was unable to return home to salvage any of his personal belongings.
The star like many will now have to find new home to live due to the devastation caused by the hurricane. Whilst it is tragic, that Marc has lost so many possessions and memories, unlike ordinary New Yorkers, having the money to purchase a new home, will not be an issue for him.
