Lourdes Talks About Summer Job Working With Madonna On Tour

Madonna’s 16 year-old daughter Lourdes, has been keen to gain independence from her mother’s pop star status, recently insisting she would like to pay her own way through college, and now revealing she took a summer job in the wardrobe department during her mother’s MDNA tour.

Unlike some wealthy teens who plan to never do a days work, Lourdes was keen to delve into some hard work this summer, as she took up a job with Madonna’s tour wardrobe department folding sweaty clothes.

Recently writing on her blog, Lourdes revealed to her fans her summer job experience, clearly determined to be a normal teenager like her friends:

“This summer I was surprisingly productive. So, I thought I would tell you all about the joys of folding underwear. As you probably know this woman I like to call my mother went on tour. As a summer job I decided to work in the wardrobe department. All of my friends were getting summer jobs and I wanted one too. Mine was a little unconventional but still a great experience and a lot of fun.”

Lourdes continued to share what the job entailed, writing:

“Being in the wardrobe department meant me and a few other girls dressed the dancers during the show when they had quick changes. Thirty seconds to totally dress a sweaty dancer can be insane provoke mucho anxiety. Doing this night after night was pretty cray, but I love every minute of it.”

Aside from the hard work Lourdes admitted she enjoyed visiting various cities around the world as she traveled with the tour, in particularly Amsterdam in the Netherlands and Copenhagen in Demark, before adding that she also formed some great friendships with many different production workers, making it a truly enjoyable summer.
