Katherine Jenkins Receives Death Threats Over David Beckham Affair Claims
Katherine Jenkins has received a huge backlash after she spoke out on Twitter about claims she had an affair with David Beckham.
The classical singer, and Dancing With The Stars star has reportedly sought help from the police after receiving several death threats.
As the bizarre rumours of the affair surfaced Katherine quickly took to Twitter to deny any involvement with married family-man David Beckham: “Dear Twitter friends, I’ve read some horrible rumours on here & want u 2 know I absolutely deny I’ve had an affair with David Beckham. The rumours are hurtful, untrue & my lawyers tell me actionable.” Almost immediately Twitter trolls took to bombarding Katherine with nasty and threatening messages, whilst others pointed out they hadn’t heard of the claims until she brought it up.
Meanwhile both Victoria and David Beckham are to said to have been bemused by the fact Katherine was so quick to emotionally deny the ridiculous claims. The Beckham’s casually brushed the rumours off, with Victoria casting no doubt over David. Victoria and David felt that they had no need to speak out about the rumours, but issued a statement via a spokesperson after Katherine’s outburst on the popular social network: “One minute David is dead, then more scurrilous rumours, there is not one jot of truth to any of it.”
It seems fellow stars also found a humorous side to the story, with Lily Rose Cooper (Allen) mocking Katherine by tweeting: “I’m really upset at the hurtful rumours going around about me having an affair with Jay-Z. My lawyers tell me they are actionable.”
