Kate Moss Confronts Critics As She Announces Her New Book
British supermodel Kate Moss has finally confronted rumors created by her critics, whilst announcing the news that she will be releasing an autobiography exposing her life working in the fashion industry.
The 38 year-old style icon has been a huge name in the fashion industry for over 20 years, however whilst speaking to the MailOnline about her new autobiography, Kate: The Kate Moss Book, the model opened up about-facing her past critics.
When Kate emerged on the high fashion modeling scene in 1993, some heavily criticized her, after she was branded the leader of the new ‘heroin chic’ look. Whilst Kate has always worked hard to deny all claims that she ever used heroin, the model surprisingly admitted that ultimately she never cared about what was said about her, as she herself knew that the claims and rumors were not true.
Kate explains that in the new book, that she reveals how she dealt with all the bizarre accusations throughout her career, whilst stating: “If I was anorexic or if I was on heroin, maybe I would have been a bit more ‘oh dear! But I wasn’t any of those things that they were painting me to be.”
At the height of Kate’s fame, even US president Bill Clinton, had an opinion on her, joining critics, commenting on her slim figure and alleged drug use. Whilst Kate at the time kept quiet about Clinton’s comments, after following the advice of her boyfriend at the time Johnny Depp, she does briefly address the incident in the book.
Kate did however reveal that Depp’s wise words of ‘never complain and never explain’ still ring strong in her mind, which is why she stays clear of social network sites such as Twitter and Facebook, which instead creates an air of mystery around her, which she likes to use to her advantage.
