Kate Middleton Raises UK Designer’s Clothing Sales
The Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has been named the driving force behind huge increases of clothing sales for many British designers, as it’s been revealed that businesses have made millions thanks to Kate.
Earlier this month it was unveiled that Kate was to thank for a surge in Alexander McQueen sales, after the royal has continued to champion it’s pieces after wearing a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen wedding gown last April.
It has now been uncovered that Kate is also to thank for a huge boost in sales at her favourite high street stores including: Reiss, Zara, Whistles and LK Bennett. Kate is frequently photographed wearing items from these designer high street stores, teaming them up with more high-end pieces, to create an original look.
Kate can often be seen wearing her favourite nude patent heeled LK Bennett shoes to royal functions, and reportedly has several pairs because she loves them so much. Unsurprisingly, such items regularly sell out in the stores nationwide within hours of Kate wearing them.
Reiss, who have revealed they saw a 12 percent increase in their sales last admitted that Kate has helped their sales since marrying Prince William, a spokesperson stated: “There is no question that Kate choosing to wear our brans has had an impact. We have noticed a significant increase in terms of brand interest and awareness globally.”
Meanwhile, British designer Alice Temlerley, who both Kate and Pippa Middleton are huge, fans of, spoke to The Mirror, about the impact Kate has had on the British fashion industry: “Kate Middleton has been brilliant for British fashion and great for the whole economy. She is a breath of fresh air and has encouraged people to experiment and combine high fashion with high street fashion.”
