Jon Bon Jovi’s Daughter Hospitalised After Heroin Overdose
According to reports made by TMZ, Jon Bon Jovi’s daughter Stephanie Bongiovi was hospitalised on Wednesday evening following a suspected heroin overdose.
It is thought that the music stars 19 year-old daughter was discovered by a male friend unconscious in her dorm room at Hamilton College, in Kirkland, New York on Wednesday. Paramedics arrived on the scene, transporting Stephanie to a local hospital where she is now said to be making a swift recovery.
Whilst the exact details of the incident currently remain unclear, reports suggest that Stephanie was not only hospitalised for the overdose, she was also later arrested by cops for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of marijuana, as well as criminally using drug paraphernalia. Ian Grant, the male friend who was with Stephanie in her room has also been arrested.
Meanwhile, Hamilton College have issued a statement, informing parents of students that they are working alongside the police who are carrying out an investigation into the events, whilst also declaring that both students involved will face disciplinary action from the college.
It has previously been believed that Stephanie and her father Jon share a close relationship, with the rocker once confessing that his daughter comes to talk to him if she has a problem. Whilst Ian Grant was arrested for possessing drugs, the New York State Director of Drug and Policy Alliance, has praised the student for ringing an ambulance when Stephanie overdosed, despite knowing the complications he would face after calling for help.
