Halle Berry Admits She Wasn’t Ready To Become A Mother Until She Turned 40
Hollywood actress Halle Berry has admitted in a recent interview on German chat show Wetten Dass…? that she didn’t feel ready to become a mother in her twenties, and therefore waited until she turned 40 before, trying for a baby.
46 year-old Halle, revealed how she feels she had a good reason to wait longer than most women do before becoming a parent, stating she was immature during her twenties and lacked the skills required to become a good mother.
Halle, who has a six year-old daughter, Nahla born in 2008, went on to insist she can take much better care of Nahla, now she has gained both age and wisdom than if she had of had her when she was younger.
Explaining what she was like in her twenties, Halle admitted: “I was just a little baby just trying to figure out who I was, let alone having the responsibility of trying t help another little soul develop and grow. I’m so glad I waited.”
Halle separated from Nahla’s father, French-Canadian model Gabriel Aubry, in 2010. The actress is now engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez.
