Former Pussycat Doll Hits Back At Nicole Scherzingers’ Shocking Remarks
Former Pussycat Dolls member Kaya Jones has hit back at Nicole Scherzingers recent remarks, regarding the band, insisting Nicole is fame hungry.
Last week, it was reported that as part of an interview for VH1 Behind The Music documentary, former lead singer of the Pussycat Dolls Nicole Scherzinger claimed that she provided 95 percent of all the vocals the group ever recorded, whilst the other girls often did not even hear the songs until she had completed recording it.
Kaya, who was a member of the band from 2003-2006 has spoken out about Nicole’s remarks that the other band members were just present to dance and look good, insisting a lot more went on behind the scenes that what Nicole has mentioned.
Speaking to the Metro newspaper, Kaya declared that Nicole was always fame hungry, stating: “Nicole was always someone who wanted to be in the spotlight and would do pretty much anything to get it”, whilst adding: “To call the other girls in the Pussycat Dolls ‘window dressings’ is a bit far-fetched…every girl in the group was talented.”
Kaya left the Pussycat Dolls after recording vocals for the bands hit PCD album, focusing her attention on a modelling as well as launching her own solo career. Whilst Kaya did perform with the band and lend her vocals to numerous tracks, she only appeared in one Pussycat Doll music video, appearing as a backing dancer for the six main band members in for hit single Sway.
