Film Proves Whitney Houston Was Set For Astonishing Comeback
Whitney Houston was set for the biggest comeback in Hollywood it has been revealed.
The late Whitney Houston’s appearance in the movie Sparkle was set to launch Whitney back into the spotlight. Sparkle, a film set during the 1960’s Motown era was Whitney’s last role prior to her tragic death. The film, which was a remake of the 1970’s movie of the same name, saw Whitney play the mother of three sisters desperate to break into the music industry.
Last week saw Sparkle released in cinemas in the US, with Whitney fans keen yet emotional to see the stars last work. Whitney has gone on to receive rave reviews for her role in the movie, alongside Jordin Sparks, who made her actig debut. After watching Whitney’s spine-tingling performance critics appear to agree that the troubled star had the potential to finally reinvent herself off the back of the film.
Whitney was capitulated to fame in the 1980’s, winning over fans worldwide with her incredible voice and talented acting skills. After an abusive relationship with fellow singer Bobby Brown, Whitney’s reign as the supreme diva of the 90’s came to an end, whilst her behavior and welfare began to deteriorate.
In 2010 Whitney attempted a singing comeback, however it was clear the star was hooked on a variety of drugs, and was a far cry away from her former self. However, now the release of Sparkle reveals Whitney was beginning to get her career back on track and could have gone on to become bigger than ever.
Although it is sad that Whitney who had the potential to turn their life around with this movie is gone, Sparkle is the perfect last tribute to her and the outstanding talent she possessed. There is no doubt about it that Whitney steals the limelight in every scene she features in the movie, and will be remembered as a massive star, who like many lived a life of struggles.
