Chris Brown Receives Public Backlash After Getting Controversial Tattoo
Chris Brown has received a public backlash after he revealed his new controversial tattoo of what appears to be a beaten woman.
23 year-old singer Chris, shocked fans worldwide when he revealed an image of his new neck tattoo of what appears to be a beaten woman. The image bares a striking resemblance to his ex-girlfriend Rihanna, who he was accused of beating up until she was black and blue back in 2009.
The face shape of the tattoo is very similar to Rihanna’s face shape, and the bruising is even in similar positions to the beaten photo of Rihanna, which was released to the press.
Unsurprisingly thousands of people took to social network Twitter to display their disgust towards Chris, for getting the tattoo, however Chris’s representatives were quick to alert people that the tattoo was not a depiction of Rihanna or a beaten up woman, but in fact the Day of the Dead skull: “His tattoo is a sugar skull (associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead) and a MAC cosmetics design he saw. It is not Rihanna or an abused woman as erroneously reported.”
Even if the tattoo is of the Mexican skull as Chris claims, it’s surprising that he didn’t notice the resemblance some people may draw with the image to a beaten up woman, before he got it tattooed onto him. He did however go on to personally defend the tattoo on Twitter saying: “I’m an artist and this is art. Dia de los Muertos.”
This isn’t the only new tattoo Chris has recently got. Today he revealed another inking, this time of a fighter jet plane below his chest. Bizarrely the tattoo is in the same place as the one where Rihanna got her new tattoo of the Egyptian goddess Isis earlier this week. Whether or not the pair are back together and planned matching tattoos is not yet known.
