Britney Spears’ Father Insists His Daughter Will Improve On Live X Factor Shows
Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears has spoken to TMZ about his daughter’s wobbly performance as a judge on the first live shows of the X Factor USA last week, whilst reassuring viewers that she will improve.
Whilst Britney’s performance as a judge alongside Simon Cowell, LA Reid and Demi Lovato at the audition stage of the X Factor competition has been praised, which saw the star be brutally honest with contestants, when the show went live last week it was clear Britney felt out of her comfort zone.
Gone were the witty and honest comments, with Britney instead appearing disconnected from the acts and viewers, praising almost everyone who took to the stage, whilst providing no constructive criticism.
Ahead of tonight’s second week of live shows, Jamie explained to TMZ: “You know Britney is not one for talking in the public like that. I think she was very nervous the first night. It’s not a microphone, it’s not talking on stage, so she is out of her element and it’s the same as when we were doing auditions, we had a slow start and a very strong finish.”
Meanwhile Jamie was keen to express his faith in Britney, stating: “Next week is going to be better and we’re getting better and better every week.”
