Brazil’s finest models on the World Cup

As the World Cup prepares to kick off in their homeland, Brazilian models Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima, Isabeli Fontana and Raquel Zimmermann discuss the importance of football in their country

The World Cup officially kicks off in Brazil tomorrow, which means it’s the perfect time to hear what some of the country’s finest models – Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Raquel Zimmermann and Isabeli Fontana – have to say about the sport. Even though they all admit that they don’t actually play it…

“In Brazil the tradition is boys play soccer and girls play with fashion,” admits Alessandra Ambrosio in the US Vogue video. Hmm, maybe that’s why so many models come out of the country?

Isabeli Fontana has “forced” her eldest son to play it, even though he doesn’t like it, because “it’s a Brazilian culture”, while Raquel Zimmermann has fond memories of kicking her brother and his friends in the shins while playing as a young girl.
