Brad Pitt Receives $7million Pay Check As He Becomes First Male Face Of Chanel No.5
Brad Pitt has just been awarded a hefty $7million paycheck, as he starts work as the first male face of the iconic Chanel No.5 fragrance.
Since it’s 91-year existence, no male has ever endorsed the Chanel No.5 fragrance, until now.
Brad will follow in the footsteps of some of histories most famous female faces, from Marilyn Monroe to Nicole Kidman, as he is set to become the new face of the French fashion houses’ iconic fragrance.
Spokesman for Chanel Andrea d’Avack, has explained why 46 year-old Brad was chosen my the luxury brand, to front the new Chanel No.5 campaign:
“To keep a legend fresh, you always have to change its point of view. It is the first time we’ve had a man speaking about a women’s fragrance. We think very much that the perfume is a seduction between a man, a woman and the perfume. No.5 is our leading fragrance, and we are willing to make the investment to keep it on that level.”
Meanwhile, Chanel has released a small selection of teaser photographs featuring Brad, which will be used in their upcoming November advertisement campaign. The photos shot in black and white, show Brad in a contemplating mood.
Movie director Joe Wright, was brought on board to film the full-length TV commercial for the fragrance, which is expected to premiere on TV next Monday. Chanel, have also released mini-teaser videos for the commercial, last just eight seconds long.
