Beyonce To Perform At Super Bowl Halftime Show
According to reports, Beyonce is set to perform at the iconic Super Bowl halftime show next year, it has been revealed.
Beyonce will follow the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, Janet Jackson, The Who and this year’s performer Madonna, when she takes to the stage at next year’s Super Bowl on February 3rd at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.
The half time show at the Super Bowl is considered a prestigious event, which each year sees families tune in to watch some of the world’s biggest stars perform a 30-minute set of show stopping music.
Madonna’s half time show earlier this year was watched by over 114 million viewers worldwide, with more people tuning in to see her half time entertainment then the big game itself. Madonna sung some of her most famous hit singles, joined on stage with guests CeeLo Green, Nicki Minaj, M.I.A and LMFAO.
It is expected that 31 year-old Beyonce will be officially confirmed as next year’s performer when an announcement is made later today.
The Grammy award winner has already had a taste of what its like to perform to the huge crowds at a Super Bowel, when she sang the national anthem at the beginning of 2004 Super Bowl XXXVIII in her hometown of Houston.
Beyonce will perform a medley of her most famous singles, no doubt accompanied by a series of energetic dances routines. Rumors are rife that Beyonce’s Destiny’s Child band members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams will join her on stage to perform a selection of the bands hit songs, whilst others speculate that husband Jay-Z will come on to duet with her.
