Anne Hathaway In Talks To Star In New Spielberg Movie
Anne Hathaway is said to be in talks to join the cast of Steven Spielberg’s latest sci-fi film Robocalypse it has been revealed.
Anne is rumored to be considering singing the deal to star alongside Chris Hemsworth, in the action packed sci-fi movie. After appearing in the latest Batman film as Catwoman, Anne is said to be keen to branch her acting skills even further, and a Spielberg sci-fi would be a great challenge for her.
Anne started her career as a young star of teen films such as The Princess Diaries and Ella Enchanted. She has gone on to play a number of roles in more grown up romantic drama films such as The Devil Wears Prada, Valentine’s Day and One Day; she is afraid of being typecast for these sorts of roles, which is pushing her towards Robocalypse.
The film will be based on a popular book by sci-fi author Daniel H Wilson, which will see humans fight against robots created by scientists, as they begin to threaten the survival of the entire human race.
Spielberg is considered a legendary director within the sci-fi genre, masterminding hit movies such as E.T and Close Encounters of the Third Kind, with an all-star cast onboard his new movie, it would surely be a massive blockbuster hit.
Whilst Anne is in the early stages of discussing her possible role in Robocalypse, Thor actor Chris Hemsworth is expected to be confirmed for the role in the coming weeks. James Bond actor Ben Whishaw is also in negotiations to sign to the film.
Whilst Robocalypse is set for a 2014 release date, Spielberg’s latest film Lincoln, is due to be released in cinemas this autumn, with predictions it will be up for an Oscar-nomination already rife.
