Alicia Keys To Purchase Eddie Murphy’s New Jersey Mansion
R&B superstar Alicia Keys is reported to be keen to purchase Eddie Murphy’s luxurious New Jersey estate it has been revealed.
The singer is thought to be signing paperwork for the property, which has been on the market for seven years. Although Eddie’s original asking price was $30million, it is thought that Alicia will buy the estate for just $12million.
A local real estate agent, has spoken to the New York Daily News, confirming Alicia’s interest in getting the property for herself, husband musician Swizz Beatz, and their two year-old son Egypt, revealing:
“The closing has been delayed for months but they’re almost there. When she closes, she’ll buy the two acre lot behind the house, too.”
The 32-room mansion is described as the perfect family home, equipped with: a fully outfitted child’s nursery, a bowling alley, an indoor swimming pool, a wood-clad spa, and even a built in recording studio, which is sure to please both Alicia and Swizz.
The Englewood area where the house is situated is packed with a host of celebrities, including rapper Diddy, fashion designer Elie Tahari, and former Knick star Patrick Ewing. The town’s close proximity to New York City is a massive selling point, attracting large numbers of Wall St. workers and those involved in the music industry.
